The Catnic ANG angle lintel is a standard-duty L-shaped steel lintel designed to support masonry above openings in 100–102mm single-leaf external walls. Suitable for single-leaf brick or blockwork construction, the ANG range is available in lengths from 900mm to 3900mm, with safe working loads varying according to length. Shorter lintels are supplied in a galvanised finish, while lengths from 2550mm feature Catnic's black Duplex corrosion protection system.

Where to use the Catnic ANG lintel
Catnic ANG lintels are designed for openings in external single-leaf masonry walls of 100–102mm thickness. Their L-shaped steel profile supports suitable uniformly distributed masonry loads above the opening.
The ANG is intended for single-leaf wall construction rather than supporting both leaves of a cavity wall. For different wall constructions or loading requirements, an alternative lintel type may be necessary.
Choosing the correct ANG lintel length
Catnic specifies 150mm end bearings for the ANG range. The required lintel length is therefore normally calculated by adding 300mm to the structural opening width, allowing 150mm bearing at each end.
For example, a 1200mm structural opening would normally require a 1500mm ANG lintel. The selected lintel must also have sufficient safe working load for the intended construction.
Installation requirements
Catnic ANG lintels must be suitably propped and laterally restrained during construction. They should be installed on mortar bearings with a minimum bearing length of 150mm at each end, in accordance with Catnic's installation requirements.

No. ANG lintels from 900mm to 2400mm are supplied with a galvanised finish. Lengths from 2550mm to 3900mm are supplied with Catnic's black Duplex corrosion protection coating.
Does a Catnic ANG lintel need propping during installation?
Yes. Catnic specifies that ANG lintels must be suitably propped and laterally restrained during construction. Follow the manufacturer's installation requirements for the selected lintel.

All in all a good experience with Wade. Communication around delivery was a little lacking so was never really sure of my delivery date. Also the additional £20 I paid to have it delivered is 3-5 days was wasted by the time I got the item. However, the timing was not critical and the price was the best I could find so worth the very minor inconvenience. I would use them again.
