Scaffolding Boards

At Wade, our scaffold boards are made from responsibly sourced structural timber and come as either banded or unbanded planks. Wooden scaffolding boards can be delivered in any length from two feet up to thirteen feet to suit your project requirements.

Strong, durable, and checked for quality, you can rely on Wade to get your scaffold boards delivered on time. If you require any scaffold accessories, we can supply those too.

What is the Difference Between Banded or Un-Banded Boards?

Banded scaffolding boards are hardwearing and ideal for daily access use on site. Select banded boards, with a galvanised strap at either end, to provide a safe working access platform on your scaffold.

The bands are designed to prevent scaffold planks from splitting, which means they can be used repeatedly. Couple them with a set of trestles for easy indoor access.

Un-banded boards are ideal for use in joinery or landscaping projects. Scaffolding boards are perfect for creating above-ground planters, or chunky workshop shelving.

What Scaffold Boards Should I Order?

Our scaffold planks are 35 mm thick by 210 mm wide (1 3/8” x 8 ¼”) and sold in Imperial measurements by the foot from 2’ (600mm) up to 13’ (3.9m).

A full-length banded board is the most popular size for construction site use, along with 10’ boards. They are also the best value per board foot.

If you need scaffold planks for shelving or other joinery purpose you can save money with un-banded boards.

How Do I Look After My Scaffold Boards?

Scaffold Boards have to be tough customers, out in all weathers. At the end of a job make sure they are cleaned down before storing them in a dry space that has good ventilation.

Sanded, varnished, or stained, scaffold planks can look great for years when used for shelving, table tops or other interior projects.

Are Wade’s Scaffold Boards Compliant?

Our scaffolding board selection meets the new British Standard BS2482. All our suppliers are required to source their timber responsibly.

All our boards are brand new, unsanded, made from white wood, and ready to go.
