ARC Cavity Stop Sock – 200mm Cavity

The 200mm ARC cavity stop sock is a passive fire protection product designed to restrict the spread of fire and smoke within cavity wall constructions, in accordance with the functional requirements of Approved Document B. It is intended to support fire compartmentation by limiting concealed fire spread within external and separating walls.

This ARC cavity fire sock is suitable for installation within 200mm cavities in masonry and timber frame wall systems. When correctly installed, the sock compresses within the cavity to form a continuous cavity barrier, helping to restrict airflow and reduce the potential for fire and smoke spread through concealed voids, as required under cavity barrier provisions.

The product may be used in external cavity walls, party walls, and internal compartment walls where cavity barriers are required to subdivide cavities or prevent fire spread beyond the compartment of origin. ARC fire socks are commonly specified as part of a compliant passive fire protection strategy in residential and commercial buildings.
