The Catnic CH90/100 is a Heavy Duty cavity wall lintel designed to support typical masonry, timber floor and roof loads. It features continuous insulation, an integral plaster key and built-in DPC, with masonry built upon both the outer and inner leaf.

Typical Applications & Installation Notes

The CH90/100 is suitable for fair faced inner leaf masonry and supports uniformly distributed masonry loads, distributed timber floor and roof loads, attic truss loads, larger-span multiple truss loads and triangulated masonry load.

  • Both leaves are raised together and require one block course before installation of the floor or roof.
  • It is essential to use nominal 150mm end bearings.
  • When using Catnic CH and CX Open Back ranges with concrete floors, ensure the blockwork is built tight against the inner vertical face and add a mortar joint to the top of the blockwork so floor units have an even spread over the inner flange of the lintel.

Yes. The CH90/100 supports concrete floors, subject to the manufacturer's installation requirements. With concrete floors, ensure blockwork is tight against the inner vertical face and use a mortar joint at the top of the blockwork so floor units have an even spread over the inner flange.

The CX90/100 Extra Heavy Duty Lintel is available in longer lengths up to 4800mm.
