When is a 100 x 100mm S4 lintel suitable?

The S4 is intended for plastered and rendered situations where a prestressed concrete lintel with a 100 x 100mm section is appropriate. Naylor also states that its Hi-Spec lintels can be suitable for below-ground use because of the concrete strength and additives used in the range.
