The ARC Party Wall DPC L-Shape 200mm is designed for external wall cavity junctions where a party wall is staggered or stepped. The L-shaped configuration follows the external cavity and incorporates an integral damp proof course.

Manufactured from non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool and sleeved in colour-coded polythene, ARC Party Wall DPC provides a purpose-designed cavity fire barrier and integral DPC for masonry wall junctions.

ARC Party Wall DPC is designed to be installed as the brick and blockwork progresses. The product requires a friction fit within the cavity and does not require mechanical fixing within the manufacturer's stated application.

1. Check the cavity width Confirm that the built cavity is appropriate for the PW200L and does not exceed the maximum 200mm cavity width.

2. Identify the staggered junction Confirm that the party wall arrangement is suitable for the L-shaped profile, where one dwelling is set back from the adjoining dwelling.

3. Position the barrier Install the L-shaped barrier so that it follows the external cavity at the party wall junction.

4. Maintain a continuous barrier Ensure adjoining lengths are tightly butted and that there are no gaps around the cavity fire barrier.

5. Protect the insulation Take care when cutting and handling the barrier so that the rockfibre insulation is not damaged.
