The Hydraulic Gritter is a front-mounted, hydraulically driven salt spreader for forklift trucks, designed for site teams and operators to distribute salt efficiently while maintaining load balance. Hydraulically powered from the forklift’s third service valve or side shift valve, it features a stainless steel double auger system capable of spreading all salt types—wet or dry, brown or white—via a 0.20 m3 hopper that holds around 250 kg.
  • Front-mounted design distributes weight to the driving wheels, aiding traction on slippery surfaces.
  • Hydraulically driven from the forklift’s third service valve or side shift valve for integrated operation.
  • Stainless-steel double auger system for consistent spreading of all salt types (wet/dry, brown/white).
  • 0.20 m3 hopper capacity (approximately 250 kg of salt) for longer gritting runs between reloads.
  • Stainless-steel disc drive with a manually adjustable spread width from 1.3 m to 9 m.
  • Fluorescent markings on side and front chevrons for visibility; flat mesh top with access hatch.
  • Fork pockets with heel pins allow safe mounting on standard lift tines.
  • Pressure release valve protects attachment hydraulics during operation.
  • Please note: due to the variety of forklift couplings, the Gritter is supplied with capped ends.
